Recognition and Awards
Through
the years Canada + Associates, Architecture has been fortunate
enough to receive recognition and numerous awards for their
work.
The Canada
Residence and the Templeton
Residence were featured on the 1994 and 1993 American
Institute of Architects (AIA) Homes Tour respectively, while
more recently the Wood
Residence and the Vaughn-
Dammann Residence were exhibited on the 1996 and 1999
AIA Homes Tours. The firm's Wirth
Residence won the Austin Chapter AIA Award for Excellence
in Design in 1989. Mark W. Canada, Architect, AIA was selected
as one of thirty exceptional design firms in Texas with its
nomination to the "Small Firms-Great Projects" exhibit
displayed at the 1994 Texas Society of Architects Convention.
Although the firm has specialized in custom
residential design in Central Texas, a variety of other completed
projects include —additional information upon
request: medical office buildings, the Scottish Rite Learning
Center for Dyslexic Children and several sports and fitness
centers.
The firm is currently working on programming,
feasibility and schematic design of the Austin Scottish Rite
Learning Center at the Children’s Village within the
Mueller Redevelopment
site in Austin, Texas.
